So it begins - Is it hard to start a business in Iraq? Yes

Back In Iraq...
I was able to really give my idea of first responder branded coffee some legs. At first, like everything, it started as an idea, only with my ideas, I like to use excel to write everything out (super nerd i know). So I had an excel spread sheet open showing what everything could cost. Some other guys I was working with saw this and asked about it. I gave my quick 30 second elevator pitch about how I wanted to start a coffee company for first responders and they got excited. Like, really excited. They started throwing great ideas at me and I started jotting down all of them. Soon we were like "screw it lets do it!".

Except we were still in Iraq...
I don't know if you realize this, but starting a business from Iraq while deployed has its own unique challenges. We could dream up everything we wanted to do but eventually you need to pull the trigger, figuratively. So what can you do on the other side of the world to start a coffee business? Alot actually. And that will be a blog post for another time.
